i really didn't know until watching this that snow white was a new big movie. i just saw that meme of the girl with the chin
Im in the I don't watch movies or tv category
18:33 old man yells at clowd
Coincidentally, I watched this video on the WiFi in a McDonald's (only because I was given a $10 McDonald's gift card that bizarrely wasn't redeemable online) as I sat and surrounded my Minecraft advertisements everywhere.
⛏️🐓🧟🍔☕️
I actually walked out of Micky 17. That movie had every "modern Hollywood" trope and was just annoying the hell out of me.
I watch the clips of the minecraft crowds, and I feel I'm watching the fall of civilization. I think we're only one or two generations away from Idiocracy.
3:02 minecarft movie 100% knew what it was doing. Constantly just saying loud things, they knew one of them will catch on
So… Yesterday at the Library I was picking out my movies for the week. Among the take were Late Night with the Devil (2023) and Nosferatu (2025). The thing is, assuming it got a physical release, most libraries are both welcoming of requests, and often staffed with people for an equal love of physical media. And yes, I did finally watch barbie last month because I came across the blu-ray at the Library. It's also worth noting, in my old man yells at cloud pro-library rant, that picking your movies at the library is a filter, because 9 times out of 10 at least it was good enough for a physical release.
Maybe just don't make unispired garbage like the Minecraft Movie and Mickey 17. Just a thought, screenwriters and directors!
38:31 suicide kings vibe
There is a streaming platform. I can’t remember the name of it, but I’ve tried to watch movies through Roku off of it. Apparently it works with library cards because it asked you for your local library and your library ID card number. And I was like what will do that?
I watch Mickey17 with big hope
but yeah, the woke political ruin this supposedly good story
Movie theatres are dead. They are a product of a time when all people had for entertainment was a pair of sticks and a dead rat. Nowdays I have a beautiful 65 inch 4K TV at home where I can enjoy what I like in the comfort of my own home. Why TF would I travel for an hour to a movie theatre where all I'll find is a bunch of annoying people and pay more than if I watch it at home. That's a negative value. Not to mention when compared to something like videogames where your $25 can give you even hundreds of hours of entertainment.
I can’t believe Ringwood got mentioned in a red letter media video.
i do not give money to hollywood
I am a movie buff and if I see a smaller movie like Companion on a streaming service (which I didnt know existed until I saw it on Max last night) I WILL GO TO A SERVICE AND BUY IT TO SUPPORT IT. But Im not paying $24.99 for a movie I can watch for free because I CANNOT AFFORD IT. Make it $9.99 or $7 and we'll talk. Cause realistically, after Ive seen it, how many times am I gonna watch it again? 2 or 3 max? Unless its amazing, no. And if it is, I'll wait until its affordable and MAYBE IF I REMEMBER and its on sale and I come across it again while its reasonable… theyre killing it by panicking. Let it have its moment in the theatre. Wait. Then make it streamable for rent. Wait. Make it available on a streaming service by subscription. Then, maybe I hear about it from my friends and go see it in the theatre. Then when it comes up on Vudu or whatever, I'd be more willing to buy it for like $19.99 or $14.99. Theyre doing this to themselves. The biggest issue is I just can't afford the out of pocket so i subscribe to AMC. Then, Im working so much overtime so i can pay my bills, that i dont have time to make full use of my AMC A-List. I more than get my moneys worth, but i dont go as much as i like.
I am totally that library person. Just got Conclave last night 😂
The Room had the spoon throwing meme where people screamed SPOON before throwing spoons at the screen when a spoon was seen in the background
Damn that anti piracy ad transported me to another time and place 😅
Ticket prices are just way too expensive. I’m not going to drop nearly $50 on a trip to the theater just to be disappointed when I can have the same experience at home
Posting this on the week that Sinners premiered to universal acclaim and big numbers baffles me
Stitching the chicken jockey clips with the Nicole Kidman video cracked me up a lot, good job
At the time of filming Snow White was 4th not 3rd. Ne Zha 2 is number 1 with over 2 Billion
I think the biggest thing is convience. If you give people an eaiser option they are gonna take it. Weve opened up a can of worms with all these streaming options and i don't think its possible to get the genie back in the bottle.
For me, there is a lack of "epic" movies that used to be the anchor for the summer box office, the movies that were so big you could really only fully comprehend everything happening on the frame if you're seeing it on the big screen, Avatar I-II, Fury Road/Furiosa, and maybe Dunkirk are the only recent examples I can think of here, less so with Furiosa since so much of it was done digitally in a way that was obvious, which reduces that "epic" feeling.
It's been a very long time since I left the theater feeling like I really went to a new world or experienced true spectacle.
Disrespecting libraries? A new low.
My library was overrun by bums. Tough times brah.
..the more you stay auntentic and dont follow the masses, the more you will get critisized.. Thats how it goes unfortunately… Dont sweat it fellas. People who really apprecaite movies, love what you have been doing all thsoe years.. Never give up! 🤘😝❤
I just hope that the Chainsaw Man Reze Arc movie won’t flop this Fall of 2025.
the clip before the library discussion said u can stream through that library, dont need no physical release. u guys made good point tho, i will check out my library. always focusing on the new stuff is stressful and unnecessary. if we have anything in 25 its too much “content” of everything.
imma tell u, if a movie is more than 13 bucks eu im not gonna buy it. if its 13 ill only buy it if its dune or sth. for like 8 imma check it out. 25 dollari is crazy for a movie, if u have any budget concerns. i rather go on a trip, buy a book, board game, video game or sth else. meaning all these have a lot better perceived value irrespective of what i pay. i think movies being 25 to own digitally basically means they are targetting the mosr committed audience only.
My partner and I love going to the movies but it can be a difficult one. Last year we went to see the Boy and the Heron, interesting movie that benefited from a cinema viewing. Sadly there was a woman with a few very noisy kids who seemed to grow more and more annoyed that the movie wasn't a kids movie.
Honestly I would have rather had a more relaxed viewing at home compared to that.
Michigan’s business school Ross did bulldoze their library. Kind of a baller move honestly.
Maybe these movies would make money is hollywood stopped artificially inflating their costs in the first place
you could argue the minion movie was a meme movie where anyone who went to see it was doing it as a joke.
I will torrent as long as my 5 streaming service subscriptions do not cover something I want to see and the only way to see it is "come join our blorbzark plus streaming service! You will see your movie once or twice, then we will unpublish it. Also we don't pay the artists.".
" free on streaming"?
They started talking about sinners and I have legitimately never heard of it before
They're going back to the theatres not to enjoy well-made cinema but to partake in a meme
All those chicken jockey moments seem so forced and unnatural
