Every single house in my neighborhood is one of the following: Sad beige, Boring Blue, Depressing Grey, Black and Ignorable Green. It's insane and I'm determined to do something bold, warm and welcoming because it's an overcast climate all the time and I have no idea why people lean into the depression. 4 Grey homes in a row across from 6 blue homes in a row…why do people do this??

Painter: The last thing you want is to have a house the same color as the neighbours'.

Getting quotes for house painting right now and the painters are saying to stay away from yellows on the exterior because they suffer more than other colors with sun exposure.
HOA community you simply paint it the original color else be fined daily until you paint it back. End of story.

The darker red color that the husband likes would have also looked pretty good as a trim color against the yellow that the wife picked…then they would have both had a color they liked on the house..but that’s just me..
I prefer cherry color…its more victorian

Bleh…not a fan of the yellow or pink. Not a fan of multiple colors either.
But hey that’s me….
I think the red would have looked sweet. Definitely stand out from all the other homes around.
If I have any concerns with the red it would be that the house may look like a barn. But still nice colors.
