Everyone talks about player welfare and THE GAME. What about the fans. Does anyone care about the welfare of the fans when, I believe, that the player agent is the big agitator here. He has form in the past with the West Tigers and other clubs. The NRL needs to do something about this. A contract must be a contract otherwise they are not worth the paper they are written on. Without the fan there is no game. We must remember that. Why, as fan, should I invest my time, money and emotions into the club and ultimately the game when crap like this goes on. There is amount of Goodwill from the fans, that the game relies on but there are limitations to it and if not careful you will loose fans. I watched the show THE FAN last night and they had Galvin on. I presume this was shot during the off season? He was grateful to be playing NRL last year and to be coached by Benji. What changed? Last I saw a 19 year old kid talk about the game, being grateful to Benji giving him that chance as he thought he would be playing SG Ball. All the statements that Galvin made around this incident is not a 19 year old speaking. I believe he has been manipulated into this position by others. The Galvin I saw last night is different to the Galvin during these negotiations. NRL…please do something to protect the Fans from rubbish like this (and not just big events like Vegas etc, these are good but are not fundamental changes but instead sugar hits) otherwise you will lose me and others over time.

All i can say is benji was 1 of the best halfs in the game, how this kid cant learn from him. Benji dropping him its Good to see a coach wanting loyalty from his players👍

don't blame Galvin, blame the NRL for having this RIDICULOUS rule where you can negotiate a new contract while still having more than a year running on your current one. an in Galvin's case, he hasn't actually done that, he's just stated he will test his market value when his contract has run out. if the Tigers were as professional as they want people to believe they are, they would do everything in their power to make him want to stay. a lot can happen in a year and a half, and if he is as good as everyone thinks he is, the Tigers should be making sure he is happy and wants to stay. the Tigers seem to playing a game of "Hold My Beer" with the Eels to see who stuff up their roster the best

Since Round 2 last season, Benji has been all in on Galvin. Started him every possible opportunity and gave him every opportunity to play how he wanted. Absolute freedom and now…this 🤦🏽♂️

The kid had got a right to look at other teams. It’s a professional sport. Love the Panthers and was gutted when Luai left. It was though his decision and he did so for his family and the money!! There is also a clause in his contract to look elsewhere after 2026 season… what’s really the difference… players move and if coaches don’t think the players are good enough they are quick to get rid of them…
